Rainy Intimate Elopement on the National Mall | Stevie & Ira

"When Ira and I began wedding planning, we quickly realized two things: We wanted to begin our life together sooner rather than later, and we wanted to start that life in an intimate way, focused solely on us and the commitment we were making to each other. Eloping was the answer. Everything was nailed down within two months of our engagement. And when the day finally came, it was everything we had hoped for—no distractions, no stress, no pressure. But our favorite aspect of eloping was not the ease of planning or execution, but the unique memories: taking photos at the Lincoln Memorial, greeting tourists as we walked the Mall, and promising to support and sacrifice beneath a monument honoring those same principles."
