Breakfast at Home | In Home Washington DC Family Session

Capturing authentic moments is at the heart of every family session, and there’s no better place to do that than in the comfort of your own home. I had the joy of photographing a delightful family in Washington, DC, as they spent a cozy morning together. We started the session with a relaxed breakfast, with little L eagerly helping to mix pancake batter (with many a stolen blueberry). These simple yet meaningful moments create memories that last a lifetime, and I love being able to document them.

After breakfast, the session naturally flowed into a time of music and play. The family gathered in their living room, where Dad strummed his guitar while little L learned finger positions and sang along. It was a beautiful reminder of how music brings people together. We ended the session with some playful shots of the family surrounded by L’s favorite toys, capturing their vibrant personalities and the pure joy of childhood. Photographing these moments in their own home allowed the family to be themselves, resulting in genuine, heartfelt images they will cherish forever.
